The 2026 Harper-Hariston Family Reunion in Newark, De, is rapidly approaching.  Fun and exciting activities await all attendees based on the theme “Together is Our Favorite Place to Be.”  Please mark your calendars, request your time off, and get ready for a memorable weekend. We are truly looking forward to seeing your face in the place!

 

Here is the schedule for the weekend:

 

• Friday: (7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.) Meet and Greet

• Saturday (10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.): Cookout & Games at Lum’s Pond State Park  

  • • • • 11:00 a.m. lunch will be served (Harper/Hairston Pavilion)

• Saturday Evening (5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.): Banquet and Program

• Sunday: Closing Ceremony/Farewell Send-off

 

Our host hotel is the Christiana Hilton in Christiana, Delaware, conveniently located near Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland. We have reserved 20 rooms on a first-come, first-served basis at a rate of $189.00 plus tax per night.  You may book your room online at https://www.hilton.com/en/attend-my-event/harper-hariston-family-reunion/ or, if you prefer, you may call the hotel directly at (302) 454-1500 and mention group code 93L to make your reservation and receive the group rate.

There are several other hotels in the Newark area; however, summer availability is limited, so please book your hotel early.

 

The planning committee has worked hard to manage the costs for meals and accommodations for the weekend.

This year’s Family Reunion’s Registration Dues are as follows:

 

11 and older:                         $95.00

4-10 years old:                      $45.00

3 and under:                          FREE

 

Everyone is asked to register using this link.  Please print and mail your registration form with your check or money order.  This year, you may also make your payments through CashApp ($harperhairstonfr) or Zelle (3024386160).  A $25 per person deposit is due by Monday, March 30, 2026.  The remaining balance is due on Monday, May 4, 2026.  Checks and money orders may be mailed to 1 Pittsburgh Court, Newark, DE 19713.  Please make checks payable to Henry Harper with “Harper-Hairston Reunion” on the Memo/For line.
